Pursuant to Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), “processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.
With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we alone or jointly with others determine the purposes and means of processing. In addition, we inform you about third-party components used by us for optimization purposes and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data under their own responsibility.
Our privacy policy is structured as follows:

In addition, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any rectification or erasure of data or restriction of processing carried out pursuant to Articles 16, 17(1), and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Regardless of this, the user has a right to be informed about those recipients.
Users and data subjects also have the right, pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the future processing of data concerning them, provided that the data is processed by the provider pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing is permissible.
III. Information on data processing
The data processed when using our website will be erased or blocked as soon as the purpose for storage no longer applies, provided no statutory retention obligations prevent erasure and unless otherwise stated below for individual processing procedures.
1. Server data
For technical reasons, especially to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted to us or to our web hosting provider by your internet browser. These so-called server log files may include the type and version of your browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the pages of our website that you visit, the date and time of each access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used.
The data collected in this way is stored temporarily, but not together with other personal data concerning you.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the stability, functionality, security, and improvement of our website.
The data will be deleted no later than seven days after collection unless longer retention is necessary for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data will be excluded from deletion in whole or in part until an incident has been finally clarified.
2. Cookies
a) Session cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are stored on your device by the browser you use. Through these cookies, certain information about you, such as browser data, location data, or your IP address, may be processed to an individual extent.
This processing makes our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure, for example by enabling the website to be displayed in different languages or by providing certain functional features.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as these cookies are used for the initiation or performance of a contract.
If the processing is not necessary for contract initiation or contract performance, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. In that case, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
These session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
b) Third-party cookies
Our website may also use cookies from partner companies with whom we cooperate for advertising, analytics, or functionality purposes.
Please refer to the information below for details, in particular regarding the purposes and legal bases of the processing of such third-party cookies.
c) Preventing cookies
You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. The steps and measures required depend on the browser you use. If you have any questions, please consult your browser help function or documentation or contact its manufacturer or support.
If you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, not all functions of our website may be fully usable.
3. International data transfers
Where personal data is transferred to recipients outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, such transfers are made only in compliance with applicable data protection law.
Where applicable, transfers to recipients in the United States may be based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, including participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where no adequacy decision applies, transfers may be based on other appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any supplementary measures required by law.
4. Contract processing
The data you provide in order to make use of our goods and/or services is processed by us for the purpose of contract performance and is required to that extent. The conclusion and performance of a contract are not possible without providing your data.
The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We delete the data once the contract has been fully performed, but we must observe retention periods required under tax and commercial law.
As part of contract processing, we disclose your data to the transport company commissioned with delivery or to the financial service provider, insofar as such transfer is necessary for delivery or payment purposes.
The legal basis for such disclosure is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
5. Customer account / registration function
If you create a customer account on our website, we collect and store the data entered by you during registration (for example your name, address, or email address) exclusively for pre-contractual services, performance of the contract, or customer care purposes (for example to provide you with an overview of your previous orders or to offer a wish list function). At the same time, we store your IP address and the date and time of your registration. This data is not disclosed to third parties.
As part of the registration process, your consent to this processing may be obtained and reference made to this privacy policy. The data collected by us in this context is used exclusively for the provision of the customer account.
Where the processing is based on your consent, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
If the opening of the customer account additionally serves pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract, the legal basis is also Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
You may revoke your consent to the opening and maintenance of the customer account at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR. To do so, you only need to inform us of your revocation.
The data collected in this respect will be deleted as soon as the processing is no longer necessary. However, we must observe retention periods required under tax and commercial law.
6. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our free newsletter, the data requested for this purpose, i.e. your email address and – optionally – your name and address, will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we store the IP address of the internet connection from which you access our website as well as the date and time of your registration. During the registration process, we will obtain your consent to receiving the newsletter, describe the content specifically, and refer to this privacy policy. We use the data collected exclusively for sending the newsletter and do not pass it on to third parties unless stated otherwise below.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR. To do so, you only need to inform us of your revocation or use the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter.
7. Contact inquiries / contact options
If you contact us via contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your inquiry. Providing this data is necessary in order to process and respond to your request; without it, we may not be able to respond or may only be able to respond in a limited manner.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been conclusively answered and provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, such as where further contract processing follows.
8. User contributions, comments, and reviews
We may offer users the opportunity to publish questions, answers, opinions, or reviews on our website, hereinafter jointly referred to as “contributions.” If you make use of this offer, we process and publish your contribution, the date and time of submission, and any pseudonym you may use.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR by informing us accordingly.
In addition, we also process your IP address and email address. The IP address is processed because we have a legitimate interest in taking or supporting further action if your contribution infringes the rights of third parties or is otherwise unlawful.
The legal basis in this case is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in any necessary legal defense.
9. Subscription to contributions
If you publish contributions on our website, we may also offer you the option to subscribe to follow-up comments or contributions by third parties. In order to inform you about such follow-up contributions by email, we process your email address.

As part of administering the giveaway, we may disclose your data to the transport company commissioned with delivery or to a financial service provider, insofar as such transfer is necessary for delivery or payment of your prize. If your data is to be published in the event of a win, you will be informed of this as part of the consent process.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may revoke your consent to the processing of data for participation in giveaways at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR by informing us accordingly.

Furthermore, user data is regularly processed by the platform operators for market research, advertising, and the creation of user profiles.
The legal basis for our operation of social media presences is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in effective information, communication, and presentation of our services.
